When youre ready
to join Toastmasters, you must complete the
Toastmasters Membership
Application Form available from your club
officer, and pay the joining fee. This usually
happens after you have visited the club
several times, and participated in meetings.
You'll get to know the club members and
how the club works before you join. When
the club accepts your application, you are
officially voted in as a member of the club.
Your membership application form is completed
by a Club Officer, and together with your
fees, is sent to Toastmasters International
in the United States.
You'll
then receive your New Member Kit which includes
3 valuable speaking tips booklets, and your
Communication and Leadership Manual with
the first ten speech assignments. When you
have completed this manual, you will be
awarded the Competent Toastmaster Award.
You
may also be assigned a mentor, and have
access to a wide range of Toastmasters resources,
some of which you can purchase, and some
may be available through your club. You
can participate in speech contests, and
attend conventions and workshops. And your
name will be placed on the forward programme
and your Icebreaker speech will be scheduled
for delivery as soon as practicable.
You'll
also receive "The Toastmaster"
magazine delivered to your letterbox every
month. This magazine is crammed full of
interesting articles and news about Toastmasters
all over the world.

other club expenses.In
total, Toastmasters membership fees are
usually between QR.40 and QR.50 per month,
however the fees do vary from club to club,

on joining.
