What
is Speechcraft?
Communication is a key part of life. Yet, speaking to one or more people can make you nervous
and uncomfortable. This can hold back a successful career and life. Qatar Toastmasters Club, a pioneer Toastmasters Club in Qatar and conducts a Speech Craft Program every year..
Speech Craft is a training program designed by Toastmasters International, USA. It is a short practical
course in public speaking for the novice
speaker offered by Toastmasters, where the participants learn about various aspects of communication and leadership and are supported by a team of presenters and mentors and guided by a coordinator.
Speechcraft is also the quickest means by which people can jump right into the process of improving their speaking skills. Designed for non-Toastmasters, this series of educational sessions covers a number of topics that play a part in good public speaking, including the following:

Over the course 8 sessions, participants learn about good public speaking and have the opportunity to practice within the Speechcraft group, mentored by experienced Toastmasters. Friendships and careers can and do blossom from the Speechcraft experience.
A Speechcraft workshop is the most cost-effective and time-effective way to acquire the skills of speaking, listening, thinking, and evaluating - skills vital to almost any profession in today's world.
Speechcraft Program 2011 concludes.
The 14th Speechcraft Program was conducted by Qatar Toastmasters Club from 09 April 2011 to 12 May 2011 at Crystal Palace Hotel, Doha, Qatar. 21 students, from 7 different countries with one purpose - to improve their Leadership and Communication Skills took part in the program. The Chief Coordinator for the program was TM Koka Prasad and he was supported by TM Williams Antony and TM Manzoor PM. The coordinators along with TM K Thayalan and TM Krishnamoorthy mentored the speechcrafters during their 8 weeks journey. During the Grand Finale of the program held on 12 May 2011, the participants were thrilled on hearing the speech of the Chief Guest, the 1995 Public Speaking Champion, TM Mark Brown.
The next speechcraft program will be held in Feb – March 2012.
